Important advice for patients registered with Andover Health Centre Medical Practice.
Following advice from Public Health England, Andover Health Centre's doors are closed for routine appointments but you can still speak to a doctor in regards to any routine problems. This is to help to contain the spread of Coronavirus. Please telephone the surgery if you have any medical concerns or queries. We apologise for any inconvenience this causes our patients. If you have a life-threatening situation, dial 999
We are working with local providers to ensure that all patients registered with the practice continue to access local GP, community pharmacy and health services during this period.
If you have run out of your prescribed medicines or have a query related to medicines you can discuss these with your local community pharmacy. Many are open late and at weekends. If you need a repeat prescription in the next 14 days, you can request this through the online service – Patient Access or NHS App or you can put your repeat slip in the outside post box.
PLEASE DO NOT ORDER EXTRA MEDICATION EARLY - THERE IS NO CURRENT SHORTAGE OR EXPECTED SHORTAGE AND STOCK PILING WILL CREATE AN UNCECESSARY PROBLEM. WE CURRENTLY WILL ONLY ISSUE 1 - 2 MONTHS SUPPLY OF MEDICATION, WE WILL ONLY ISSUE 1 INHALER AT A TIME. WE WILL ONLY ISSUE PRESCRIPTIONS THAT ARE DUE TO RUN OUT IN THE NEXT 14 DAYS.

However, all the ‘normal’ illnesses that can make children severely unwell still remain and there is a major risk that parents may delay bringing their child to the attention of a healthcare professionals even if they are unwell because of concerns about COVID-19. GPs and hospitals are still providing the same safe care that they have always done for children .
